To Layton: Sometimes Men Help Women

October 7, 2008 · Leave a Comment

From the NDP platform:

We will address the non-standard employment relationships like part-time, contract, and temporary work and variable schedules. All of these are especially important to women, who often must shoulder the additional burdens of caring for elderly parents and for children.

Why do women always have to shoulder the additional burdens of caring for elderly parents and for children?

Why don’t men help the women out a bit, if this is the case?
